With the ever-evolving BPO industry, there is an increasing and continuous demand for a talent pool as a major attraction for foreign investors to start operations in the country. A leader in information technology-business process management (IT-BPM) sector, DTSI Group, partnered with the Cebu IT/BPM Organization (CIB.O), to help in efforts to maximize hiring from senior high graduates. Through DTSI’s Vismin team, the company provided the necessary support to the students of Zapatera NHS in Cebu City by donating Jabra headsets to help them hone their skills for the future. The donation was anchored on the existing Learning English Application for Pinoys (LEAP), a learning program that enables enhancement of English language proficiency to improve our local talents.
With its advent in the Vismin region and renewed partnership with CIB.O (formerly known as CEDF-IT), the most influential IT-BPM association in Cebu, DTSI Group extended a helping hand in enabling voice technology to young learners, with the hopes that the student beneficiaries may one day contribute to the BPO industry. Since the Philippines will not have high school graduates for years 2016 and 2017 due to the dawn of the K-12 curriculum, DTSI Group wanted to make sure that the country sustains its pool of competent talents for the continued growth of the IT-BPM industry.
Desiree Placencia, General Manager of DTSI Vismin, shared that “This is a good opportunity for us to use our corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs not just to help local communities but also to build a potential pool of workers to address the needs of the industry.”
Going the extra mile or “Beyond Solutions” is really what DTSI Group aims to achieve not just with its clients, but also with the communities that surround it. As it quickly builds its brand in the Vismin area, DTSI Group wishes to be seen as more than just a company that provides excellent IT and Facilities solutions, but a catalyst for innovation and industry advancement.
